Day 2 of Mom and Carter's home alone experiment. Today has gone better than yesterday. Some things I've learned over the last couple days:
1) No baby is a textbook baby. Every baby is unique.
2) Stick to my own system. What works for other people may not work for me.
3) Personal hygiene isn't really that important.
Mamaw and Papaw have returned to Arkansas. :-( I've posted some new pics on Flickr of their visit here. Thanks for your help you two!

As a parent, we like it when our kids have kids of their own. Not only because it gives us the chance to be called Grandma or Mucka, or MawMaw. But because it gives us the chance to see the light of knowledge in our own children's eyes, as they realize what exactly it takes to be the parent. The job doesn't come with an instruction manual, and there is no real training available, because, as Rebecca said, what works for some, may not work for you. But the reward is priceless. The day your child is born, is the day you become a parent for the rest of your life. Rebecca and Mike are great parents.
